"Doe Doe Bell Nutt"

What??? Doe Doe Bell Nutt is Margot's best attempt at saying her own name. Not bad when your name is Margot Isabell McNutt! Margot is such a joy and brings so many smiles to our faces. She is a busy toddler. We still refer to her as the baby but she is a toddler through and through racing toward the terrific twos! We wanted to share a few of Margot's latest antics....

Margot had a great morning on Friday unrolling an entire roll of tin foil. It makes a great noise when you run through the house with it trailing behind you, who knew...
An action shot, our red garbage can tipping over. Margot filled the garbage can with full cans of Diet Coke which Mommy had left next to the fridge. The can couldn't take the weight, became top heavy and tipped over..... tragedy avoided as mommy grabbed Margot out of the way!
"Holt chew" Again the translation would be Margot wanting to be held by telling us, Hold You!

A smile that you have to love. Margot is such a playful and happy little thing that the craziness is easily over looked. She loves going down the slide at the Farm Park and convinced Daddy that he should try it too. He is a sucker for his little girls!

Curious Kittens!

Having two little kittens added to our family has been lots of fun. They are very curoius and love to run and play. Last night they were on a roll. Bandit was checking out all the girls toys and found that when he bit the strings of the guitar he could play music. It was hilarious he was playing us a tune. Then when Jeff and I were just about to fall asleep were heard a splash in the bathroom. I ran in and had to rescue Bandit out of the toilet. He got a little to curious and fell right in!

Chicago Weekend!

The McNutts had a busy but very fun weekend in Chicago. The weekend started early on Thursday when Daddy and Molly headed to US Cellular Field to take in an afternoon White Sox game. Jeff and Viola Townsend also went to the game. Molly and Viola had a great time. I am not sure that they saw much baseball but loved it all the same!
Molly and Viola have had so much fun playing over the last few weeks in Ottawa. We were very sad to say goodbye to Viola Monday. The Townsend family is onto to a new chapter moving to Fort Collin Colorado. We will miss them very much.
Viola and Molly enjoyed lots of treats at the game. I think the suckers might have been their favorite. On Saturday Mommy, Daddy and Nanu and Papa went to see Jersey Boys in Chicago. It is a very upbeat musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. My mom especially enjoyed the show because all the music was the hit songs from her teenage years. She was rockin' and boppin' in her seat. Then on Sunday we took a family trip to Six Flags Great America. It was surprisingly a fun time. I had not been there since high school but it was so fun to see the kids riding all the same things I enjoyed as a kid.
Molly and her cousins Mia and Daniel Reinhardt on the Fruit Salad ride. They were crazy riders they rode all the rides they were tall enough for. Their collective favorite was a roller coaster, a kiddie one but it was really fast, even I was a little scared but they loved every second of it and rode many times in a row!
Wiggles World is a new attraction at Great America, and the Wiggles show was definitely the highlight for Molly. She danced and sang along with every show! Margot even got in on the ride action. She loved all the rides and was not happy when she sis not meet the 36 inch height requirement of some of the rides. I was amazed we took her on the log flume, my favorite as a kid and she loved it. Molly on the other hand was not so thrilled. She was crying at the end of the ride and I assumed it was because she was scared of the big drop at the end but she was actually very upset that her hair had gotten wet! She cracks me up, she is all girl!

Softball Season!

Daddy's biggest fans!Daddy is a softball player for our church softball team. We have not been able to take in too many games due to the late start times and hot hot weather, but tonight we took a special outing to see the last game. Margot and Molly loved sitting in their little chairs and cheering on daddy. Molly would yell "Go Daddy Go". It was so sweet!
Here is Jeff the famous Grace Presbyterian pitcher. They even asked him to sign for next season! He is still in negotiations!
Al, he is the best umpire ever. He has umped every game I have attended over the last five years. He is a very patient and good humored guy watching so many "exciting" games!

Daddy's last at bat. I wish it I could say that it was a home run but at least Daddy got on base!
We love you Daddy and are proud of your hard work for your team. Daddy even took a ball to the shin tonight. Molly was very worried that Daddy fell down! He has quite a bruise but we think that he will make a full recovery before next season!

The Wiggles!

The McNutts getting ready to see the Pop Go the Wiggles show at the All-State Arena in Chicago. We were very excited to get last minute tickets from a friend and had a great time at the show. We would definetely recommend the Wiggles if they come to your area.
Margot was enjoying the show and the candy too! Mommy got candy from the bulk candy store before the show and it was the perfect treat. Surely beat the $15.00 cottn candy that all the other kiddos had....
Molly was showing off how close our seats were to the stage. We were only about 15 feet from the stage which made the show even more exciting! A couple times the Wiggles ran right past our seats as they headed out into the audience. Sam and Murray even waved at Margot, we were star struck!
Here are those long awaited Wiggles in the Big Red car. All four of the wiggles are so high energy it was unbelieveable. Jeff and I looked at eachother and said who needs Gold's Gym just dance with the Wiggles!
Molly smiling for the Wiggles. She like Jeff had no expression during the entire show and said she wanted to go home before it was over. She is a home body just like her daddy. But ask her about it now and she loved it! Kids you gotta love 'em!

Just Keep Swimming!

Molly has spent this summer learning to swim. In only 6 lessons she has gone from being terrified of the water to being a true water baby!

This is Molly going off the diving board for the very first time. She was scared but jumped anyway!

This is Molly and her teacher Mrs. Palmer. Mrs. Palmer has been teaching swimming lessons for 30 years in a pool in her backyard. She has amazing techniques that have helped many kids in the area learn to swim. We love Mrs. Palmer.
Molly's magic pink goggles. Molly wore the magic pink goggles to help her swim all by herself and they did the trick. She will now swim about 6 feet all by herself. It is amazing how far she has come.

A fun little clip of Molly showing off her swimming skills during her last lesson. We are already looking forward to next summer!

In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.
