Kid Talk

I learned on Monday that I need to watch what I tell Molly as we were at the playground in our neighborhood and Molly told all the kids there that her daddy farted.

Croup!

Yikes! Poor little Margot has croup. Last night in an attempt to let Margot cry it out, we heard a strange sound coming from Margot's room. It was the poor little thing with a terrible croupy cough. Yuck, She is in a yucky mood and we are hoping that the magic medicine from the doctor will have her feling much better by morning.

This is Margt feeling yucky and Daddy feeling not so youcky!

No Sleep for the weary in Indy!

Just wanted to give you all a quick glimpse of what our hotel room was like in the evening in Indy. No a lot of sleep was had by children or parents. It may be awhile before we muster up the courage to stay in a hotel with them again!

Not so Vacation!

Jeff and I decided to take a short vacation to Indy this weekend. We just wanted to get away from the ins and outs of daily life and spend a few days having fun as a family.

Our trip started very smoothly with both girls sleeping almost the entire four hour drive which was a huge blessing. There is nothing like a quiet car drive!
Friday morning we headed out for the Indy children's museum. It was awesome. The girls loved all the exhibits. Margot's favorite was the toddler sized water table and Molly loved the dinosaurs!
Our evening ended with a trip to the pool at the hotel. They both enjoyed spsplashing and telling daddy that he was a mean shark.
We grabbed a little dinner at Buca di Beppo. Molly loved drinking from the fancy glass!
One thing we did not plan for was the Indy 500! Don't ask me how we didn't realize it was race weekend but I guess we really don't keep track of those things. But we were right in the middle of the festivities and caught a little of the Inndy 500 festival parade. They had huge balloons that the girls were amazed by!
All and All it was a fun weekend. We would recommend it for a short weekend trip. The children's museum, zoo and canal walk are al worth seeing! Jsut try not to plan your trip for race weekend!

I have so enjoyed reading the blogs of friends. It is a great way to feel connected to even those who are far away. So here is the start of the McNutt blog with a glimpse into a day in our ordinary life!

We love the rainbow playsystem in our subdivision where we meet all our neighborhood friends to play during those last couple hours before Daddy is home from work. Margot is a climber and love to keep up with all the big kids. Molly and Margot enjoying the sunny spring weather!
Molly always the leader of the gang is climbing up the slide!
You may ask what is this? Painting the sidewalk or driveway with water is a favorite past time of the McNutts. We spend a great deal of time every afternoon making sure that we have covered every inch.
Margot enjoys painting but also sneaks in a few sips of water from her brush along the way!

So I am happy to say that I am now a blogger. Check back and see what else our little family is up to!
